He attended Oakland Technical High School. After graduating in 1952, he moved back to Los Angeles to attend Life Pacific University where he received his first bachelor’s degree in 1956. He started working on his 2nd bachelor’s degree at Azusa Pacific University where he graduated in 1970. Jack Hayford has also been awarded several honorary degrees, including a Doctor of Divinity from both L.I.F.E. and Oral Roberts University, and a Doctor of Literature from California Graduate School of Theology.
